Bano Qudsia is an author, scholar,
novelist and spiritual from Pakistan who composes Urdu books and small stories.
She is finest known for her novel Raja Gidh and has composed for TV and stage
in both the Urdu and Punjabi dialects. Her play Aadhi Baat has been known as an
exemplary.
Life:
Qudsia moved with her family to
Lahore amid the Partition of India. Her father, a proprietor with a Bachelor's
degree in agribusiness, died when she was young. She went to class in
Dharamsala in eastern India before shifting to Lahore. Her mother was a teacher
as well she wedded author Ashfaq Ahmed.
Education:
She composed for school magazines
and different diaries. She moved on from Kinnaird College in Lahore. In 1951,
she finished her M.A. degree in Urdu from the Government College Lahore.
